Has social media caused Groupthink & shift away from pattern recognition/analysis?
Great question by @SteveKoss, here is my response:
I think it has but only becaue we’re still in the ‘new toy’ phase where we don’t quite know yet how put it to good use, this means some people will naturally adopt the groupthink behavior where the group decides for them what to do. Let’s remember that as a society we’ve never really had access to so much information for free which is overwhelming for most people, and so a natural response is to adopt a groupthink behavior.
